| Craig Lodge family House of Prayer In 1983 a family from the Highlands of Scotland visited Medjugorje in Bosnia/Herzegovina. They went because they had heard that Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, was appearing to a group of children. Their visit affected their lives in many ways. On their return they decided to turn their guest house into a house of prayer – a retreat centre. Craig Lodge Family House of Prayer began to take shape. Very soon a group of young people inspired by the messages of Our Lady Queen of Peace formed a community at Craig Lodge. Over the next 10 years many young people came and devoted a year to living out Our Lady’s call to holiness through prayer, fasting and service. Today, Craig Lodge Community is made up of families as well as single people. The same desire unites us; to journey along the road to holiness together by listening to Our Lady and doing our best to put her messages into practice. | Painting of Our Lady of Medjugorje - by Adrian Mills This painting is an artist’s impression, derived from the description given of the apparition of Our Blessed Mother Mary, Queen of Peace, by lvan Dragicevic when She appeared to him at 10.30 p.m. on the night of Tuesday 12 May 1998 on the Hill of Apparitions, Podbrdo in Medjugorje, Bosnia - Herzegovina. She asked for prayers for priests, bishops, the Holy Father and the sick. At the end of the apparition "She departed for Heaven with the brilliant light of the cross behind Her" She also "took all the petitions presented to Her and extending Her hands, blessed everyone". In meetings in Medjugorje the diffusion of this card (note: The image and narrative is distributed in postcard size) was welcomed by Fr Slavko Barbaric who asked that the 25 April 1999 message be included: "Dear Children! Also today I call you to prayer: Little Children, be joyful carriers of peace and love in this peaceless world. By fasting and prayer; witness that you are mine and that you live my messages. Pray and seek! I am praying and interceding for you before God that you convert; that your life and behaviour always be Christian. Thank you for having responded to my call." | Mustard Seed Recording A small group of musicians in a quiet little college town named Forest Grove, inspired by people who have been diagnosed with terminal cancer, set out to sing about the power of prayer. During this year long journey, even their most heartfelt prayers were surpassed by God’s Grace. The title track “Mustard Seed” was written by Jeff Pettit in the winter of 2006 for several friends with cancer. Several months later through God’s plan, Jeff was watching a video about a little village in Bosnia Herzegovina called Medjugorje, where Our Lady has been appearing to six children for the past 25 years. One of the early messages given to the children was to surrender to God, and to begin by reading Mathew 6: 24-34. After the movie, Jeff went to the Bible to read the scripture and much to his surprise it was the scripture-based lyrics to his song “Mustard Seed”, that he had written several months earlier! The message and scripture was about not worrying about your future and to let God take care of you. This sign called Jeff to go to Medjugorje to find out for himself what it was all about. The Holy Spirit came to Jeff on that trip and upon returning he was inspired to produce this CD and a video “Message from Medjugorje” about this most important supernatural event. Singer and Song writer, Patty Tasa, diagnosed with terminal cancer, recorded two of the songs on the CD, as she herself went through a miraculous turnaround from cancer. During this time her cancer shrunk to a level that could be operated on, and she was soon pronounced cancer free! The lyrics to “Surrender to God’s Love”, the fifth track are crafted from actual messages from Our Lady over the years. The Blessed Mother is asking each one of us to abandon ourselves to God, and discover His Love. Join this small group of musicians as they share their songs written from the heart, each with its own testimony to God’s Grace.
